We had over sixty students, ages 3 to 18, who were participated in our dance classes.\u00a0 The children were divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups.\u00a0 They learned many of our traditional dances.\u00a0 Many even performed at our Christmas Party, at the Annual Picnic and at the Greek Independence Day events.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, we introduced a Greek language education program for our younger members.\u00a0 They learned basic skills such as the alphabet, folk songs and basic conversational skills.\u00a0 There were approximately twenty students who attended our language program.<\/p>\n<p>Our dance and language programs offer an opportunity for our children to learn about their Hellenic culture.\u00a0 The classes are taught by skilled teachers. \u00a0It is also an opportunity for our members to reconnect with our organization and make new friends in the process. The Society feeds the students after their lessons.
