31st October 2018

Dear Member:

It is with great pleasure that our Society invites you to attend the Commemoration and Celebration of November 11th, 1912, the day our Hometown, Kastoria, was liberated from the Ottoman Empire, which happened to coincides with the day our Church venerates St. Minas, Kastoria’s Patron Saint since.

Sunday, November 11th, 2018, 10:30 a.m.
St. Eleftherios Orthodox Church, 359 West 24th St., NY
Reception will be held at the Parish Hall of St. Eleftherios Church
Immediately following the Divine Liturgy and “Blessing of the Bread”

This year the Church of Saint Eleftherios, which had been the Spiritual Home of the Kastorians for many years, celebrated its 100th year anniversary. Having always been the major supporters of this historic Church in the past we feel it is our duty to continue in that same spirit by having the Celebration of Saint Minas take place at the St. Eleftherios Church thus showing once again our love and support for this parish similar to the way our forefathers did before us.

There will be buses, free of charge, leaving from our Cultural Center to Manhattan. Please reserve your seat by November 2nd, if you are planning to ride on the buses, which will depart at 9:00 am.

We look forward to celebrating this traditional Event with you and your families.
